Drag Racing Sponsorship

Marlette Roofing Company has been involved with the sponsorship of Sam Patrick's drag racing cars since 1978.  Sam raced a 1951 English Ford Prefect from 1978 until 1981.  In 1981 Sam built a 1980 Chevy Monza and raced until 1985 before he quit racing to raise his family and build the business.  In 2003, as Sam was about to retire from Marlette Roofing, he purchased a 1937 Chevy coupe built in Odessa, Texas, called "Burning Money".  The car was refurbuished to Sam's specifications and has been racing as a nostalgia gasser ever since.  He has won many prestigeous nostalgia races including Goodguys "Blue Suade Cruise in Norwalk, Ohio, the Goodguys Hot Rod Nationals in Indinapolis, In. and the NHRA Hot Rod Reunion in Bowling Green, Ky.  Marlette Roofing Company has been proud to sponsor this fine example of the golden days of drag racing.
